Maze & Friends is a marketing agency from Vienna for clients in Stockholm who want customers, talent and attention in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We write German and English content, shoot brand films and event coverage, build the websites and campaigns that carry it, and make sure AI assistants know your name in both languages.
In short: Maze & Friends, a senior-led marketing agency based at Vienna Airport, works with Swedish companies on their entry into the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The team produces brand films, event content and German-language websites, runs LinkedIn and paid campaigns in the region and measures how AI assistants answer German and English buying questions. In February 2026 Maze & Friends covered the Austrian delegation at TECHARENA in Stockholm for the Vienna Region; shoot days are planned as trips, everything else runs remotely.

Stockholm grows companies that think internationally from day one. The region produces nearly a third of Sweden's GDP, and nearly three-quarters of Sweden's unicorns started there, from Spotify and Klarna to King and Mojang. For many of them, the first big market after the Nordics is Germany: in 2025 it was Sweden's largest export market and largest source of imports. Team Sweden counts more than 1,500 Swedish-registered organisations operating in Germany and around 200 companies with Swedish ownership or interests in Austria.
The product usually travels well. The marketing often doesn't. In Team Sweden's 2026 business climate survey for Germany, language barriers sit next to administrative complexity among the main challenges of market entry. Buyers in Munich, Vienna or Zurich read English, but they search in German, compare German websites and ask AI assistants in German. Eurostat counts 42.0 per cent of Swedes aged 16 to 74 using generative AI in 2025, against 39.4 per cent in Austria and 32.3 per cent in Germany. The question your future customers type into ChatGPT is rarely in Swedish.
This is where we come in, from Vienna. One team writes the German website, shoots the film, covers your trade fair stand, runs LinkedIn and the ads, and measures what turns into enquiries. We travel for shoot days and events, as we did for TECHARENA 2026 in Stockholm, and handle everything else online. We are not in Stockholm every week. The senior people from your initial call stay on your project, and they know the market you are heading into because they work in it every day.
A landing page or a full German-language site in Webflow, written for buyers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland rather than translated line by line from English. We set up GA4 and conversion tracking, meaning we measure which page and which ad lead to an enquiry. German and Austrian law expect a legal notice (Impressum) on business websites; we build the page, your legal advisers supply the wording.
GEO, short for generative engine optimisation, makes sure ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews mention you when someone in the DACH region asks for a provider like you. We start by asking AI assistants the buying questions of your market in German and English and recording who gets named. Then we build answer content, technical foundations and mentions on sources the models trust, and report monthly.
Business Sweden takes Swedish delegations to German trade fairs such as Formnext and ISM in Cologne. A stand produces conversations for three days and content for a year, if someone films it. We know the Stockholm side as well: at TECHARENA 2026 we covered the Austrian delegation's joint stand for the Vienna Region, with interviews, an event film in 4K, a vertical interview reel and photos.
One or two shoot days in Stockholm, planned with a shooting schedule and shot list, give you a brand film, interviews, short formats and photos. Interviewees speak the language they are comfortable in; we subtitle in German and English. For the Viennese company Sumetzberger we produced commercials with a German voice-over and German and English subtitles for an international audience.
In a new market, people buy from people they have read before. We position founders and sales leads for German-speaking decision-makers, write LinkedIn posts in your voice in German or English and produce photo and video when we are in Stockholm anyway. For Milan Milic, personal branding tripled his reach and brought enquiries with project values between €7,500 and €48,000.
Hiring your first team in Germany or Austria is its own market entry. Team Sweden's survey notes that Germany's Federal Employment Agency lists 163 shortage occupations, which makes recruitment slower. We build careers pages, recruiting videos and social recruiting campaigns aimed at the cities where you hire, in German, with your people on camera.
Events in Stockholm where we can cover your stand, your talk or your delegation. Dates as published by the organisers on 25 October 2026.
30 minutes by video call, free of charge: which DACH markets come first, who buys, what already exists in German? Afterwards you receive a fixed-price quote.
We check how you appear on Google in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, on LinkedIn and in German and English AI answers, and compare you with the competitors your buyers will meet first.
A fixed-price quote with every line item, travel included. Your contracting party is Maze Marketing & IT GmbH in Austria; invoicing between two EU companies is set out in the quote.
Target groups, key messages and proof points for the DACH region, worked out in English with your team. German copy is then written by native speakers in our team, not machine-translated.
Film, photos and interviews in Stockholm or at your trade fair stand, bundled into as few trips as possible. You bring the people and the product; we bring crew and equipment.
Website, LinkedIn, ads and AI visibility work go live with tracking to the enquiry. We report what produced conversations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and shift budget accordingly.
Our studio is at Vienna Airport, not in Stockholm. For Swedish-language campaigns in your home market, a Stockholm agency is the better partner, and you probably have one. Our job is the other side of the bridge: the German-speaking market, its language, its media habits and its trade fairs.
We are not a translation agency either. We write German copy for the market, which sometimes means a different headline, a different proof point or a different case up front. Legal and tax questions, from company formation to GDPR documentation, stay with your advisers; we tell you early where they are needed. And we don't sell number-one guarantees. Whether we fit is shown by case studies, not by superlatives.
Teams that have proven their product in the Nordics and now need German-language pages, founder visibility on LinkedIn, paid campaigns aimed at the DACH region and a presence in German AI answers. For Canal Toys, a brand that was unknown in Germany, we built the German shop experience, product pages, guides, newsletters and campaigns.
Manufacturers and technology firms that sell through trade fairs, distributors and long sales cycles. Brand film, trade fair content and a German website that answers technical questions before the sales call. For iSi Group, the collaboration brought +150% reach and twice as many B2B enquiries.
Conferences and trade bodies that want to be visible before, during and after an event: event films, interviews, photo coverage and LinkedIn carousels. For RIZ UP GENIUS 2026 we delivered 40 photos, three interviews, a recap and a 13-part LinkedIn carousel in the client's branding.
Working from Vienna for clients in Stockholm only works if it is clear who owns what. Here is what we commit to.
German website, film, event content, LinkedIn and ads come from the same team, so nobody has to translate your strategy between four suppliers.
The senior people from the initial call fly to Stockholm for shoot days and stay on your project. That slows our growth. We accept it.
Enquiries, booked meetings and applications from the DACH region, tracked to the source. Reach is a means, not a result.
If a German launch campaign costs a lot and the market isn't ready, we say so, even if the idea was ours.

More markets
Because the market you are entering speaks German, and we work in it every day. Maze & Friends writes German websites, runs campaigns in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and measures German AI answers. For Swedish-language work at home, a Stockholm agency remains the better choice. We cover the DACH side, travel to Stockholm for shoot days and handle the rest online.
Yes, at TECHARENA 2026. On 11 and 12 February 2026 we covered the Austrian delegation's joint stand for the Vienna Region: interviews with Advantage Austria, the Austrian Business Agency and exhibiting companies, photos of stage, exhibition and matchmaking, an event film in 4K and a vertical interview reel. The case study is on our website.
Both: we work with your team in English and write for your buyers in German. Workshops, approvals and reporting run in English. German website copy, LinkedIn posts and ad texts are written by native speakers in our team and adapted to the market, so a page for Vienna can sound different from one for Munich. Films get German and English subtitles as needed.
Yes, trade fair and conference coverage is one of our core formats. We plan with you beforehand which conversations, demos and interviews matter, then film the stand and deliver a recap, short reels and photos. Business Sweden regularly takes Swedish delegations to German fairs such as Formnext and ISM in Cologne. Travel appears as its own line in the quote.
It means being named when buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews for a provider in German. Models answer from sources they trust, often German-language ones. We measure which companies get named for your buying questions today, then build German answer content and mentions on credible sources. Progress takes months, and we report it monthly.
Usually one German version works, with adjustments where it matters. Austrian and Swiss buyers notice German-German phrasing, Swiss German drops the ß, and references, trade fairs and contact details should fit the country. We decide in the concept phase whether one site with local details is enough or whether a market needs its own pages or campaigns.
Only in English, and only when it supports the DACH launch. We don't write Swedish copy and won't pretend otherwise. If you want event content from Stockholm for a German audience, or an English brand film shot in Stockholm, we are the right partner. For Swedish-language campaigns in Sweden, work with your local agency; we are happy to coordinate with them.
Your contracting party is Maze Marketing & IT GmbH, an Austrian company based at Vienna Airport. You receive a fixed-price quote with every line item, including travel, and invoices from Austria. How VAT is handled between two EU businesses is set out in the quote and, where needed, checked with your accountant; we don't give tax advice. Usage rights to films, photos and texts are agreed in writing.
Still have questions?
In the initial call, we answer whatever is still open and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for your project.
In a free 30-minute call we look at where your company is missing in the German-speaking market today and which step will have the most effect first. Afterwards you receive a fixed-price quote. Consulting that also delivers.
