A look back that sells the next edition.
For Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws), Austria’s federal promotional bank, Maze & Friends shot the event film for the Austrian Business Angel Day 2025, with five interviews between the sessions. The aftermovie runs in two formats, and aws now receives more qualified enquiries for its high-calibre events.
Maze & Friends from Vienna produced the event film for Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws) at the Austrian Business Angel Day 2025, the annual gathering of private investors in Austria. A small team covered the evening and conducted five interviews. The result is an aftermovie in two formats: 5:4 for the website and LinkedIn, 9:16 for reels, each with subtitles.
An evening that won’t happen twice.
A business angel day lives on encounters: pitches, conversations, handshakes. Without a film, all that is left is photos. aws wanted a film that shows why you should be there next time.
The conditions: no disruption to the programme, short distances, interviews between the sessions, approvals that take many stakeholders into account.

“Why should I be there next year?”
The question the aftermovie answers.
How the project ran.
Every Maze & Friends project runs through the same nine steps, from the initial call to reporting. The list shows what actually happened in this project.

The film follows the evening: arrival, stage, conversations, awards. Voices from Bernhard Sagmeister (aws), Katarzyna Renata Pichler (Business Angel of the Year 2025) and Alexander Thees (KfW Capital) carry the story, and subtitles make it work without sound.

Two cameras, one rhythm
Wide shots and close-ups in turn: the hall, the stage, the faces in the audience.

Interviews without a studio
Short questions, clear answers, right in front of the event wall. Five conversations in one evening.
