Maze & Friends is a marketing agency from Vienna for clients in Los Angeles: consumer, beauty, wellness, entertainment and gaming brands launching in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We build German product pages and campaigns, shoot product and brand videos, cover your appearances at German-speaking trade fairs and make sure AI assistants recommend you in German.
In short: Maze & Friends, a senior-led marketing agency based at Vienna Airport, works with Los Angeles brands on market entry into the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The team writes German product pages and websites, runs Meta and Google campaigns in the region, produces brand films, product and application videos and event content and measures AI visibility, meaning how often ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews recommend a brand in German. For US productions shooting in Austria, Maze & Friends produces behind-the-scenes and marketing content; it is not a service company for feature films.

Los Angeles builds brands that the world recognises from a screen: entertainment and streaming, gaming, beauty, wellness and direct-to-consumer labels that grew up on social media. The city is a hub for beauty start-ups, and L'Oréal runs a Los Angeles headquarters for several of the brands it acquired there. Many of these brands are well known in German-speaking Europe before they sell a single product there.
Being known is not the same as being bought. In a CSA Research survey of 8,709 consumers in 29 countries, including Germany, 76 per cent said they prefer product information in their own language and 40 per cent said they never buy from websites in other languages. German shoppers also ask AI assistants: Bitkom reports that 67 per cent of Germans aged 16 and over use generative AI at least occasionally. A brand that is famous on social media in Berlin and invisible on German product pages and in German AI answers leaves the sale to whoever is.
The economic ties are already there. US-headquartered companies are the largest foreign investors in Germany, and US companies made up 4.4 per cent of exhibitors at German trade fairs in 2025, according to AUMA. We help from Vienna with the part that decides the sale: German product pages that sound native, campaigns aimed at German-speaking audiences, product videos that explain, and the sources AI assistants quote in German. We fly to Los Angeles for shoot days and do the rest remotely.
Product pages, collection pages and how-to guides in German, written around the questions shoppers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland ask before they add to cart. We work in your shop system or in Webflow and track every step to the sale. For Canal Toys, a brand nobody searched for in Germany, we built 20 product pages, six collections and 15 guides.
Meta and Google campaigns for Germany, Austria and Switzerland with German creatives we shoot and design ourselves, tested in small budgets first and scaled where they sell. Results are reported per country, because a winning ad in Hamburg can flop in Vienna. For Canal Toys the work reached a ROAS of 3× within a year, calculated across all activities.
Demos, tutorials and application videos are where beauty, wellness and gadget brands win trust. We shoot in Los Angeles or in Vienna and cut German and English versions from the same material, with on-screen text that works without sound. For KCB Professional Austria we filmed application videos and reels in a hair salon with four models.
From gamescom in Cologne to consumer and beauty fairs, German-speaking trade events bring press, retailers and fans to your stand. We film the stand, talks and meetings and deliver recap films, reels and photos for German channels.
Shoppers now ask AI assistants which serum, supplement or gadget to buy. GEO, short for generative engine optimisation, is the work of becoming one of the answers. We check which brands ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews recommend in German for your category, trace the guides, reviews and retailers behind those answers and build your presence there and on your own site.
When a US production shoots in Austria, the marketing team needs content from set: behind-the-scenes footage, cast and crew interviews, photos and social formats in German and English. We produce that content; production services for the film itself stay with the production company.
Events in and around Los Angeles where we can film your appearance for German-speaking customers, partners and press. Dates as published by the organisers on 25 October 2026.
30 minutes by video call, free of charge, in your morning and our evening: which products, which DACH country first, and what already exists in German. A fixed-price quote follows.
We look at your category the way a German shopper does: Google, marketplaces, social media and German AI answers, and which brands get recommended instead of you.
A fixed-price quote lists every item, travel included. The contract is with Maze Marketing & IT GmbH in Austria; how a US company is invoiced is set out in the quote.
Together we decide how your brand sounds in German: what stays, what changes, which words your customers use. Briefings run in English; the German is written by native speakers in our team.
Product videos, application videos and brand film, shot where your products and people are, plus content from the German-speaking fairs and events on your calendar.
Product pages, campaigns and AI visibility work go live with tracking to the sale. Monthly reports show revenue and return on ad spend per country, and what we change next.
Maze & Friends produces brand films, product videos, commercials and content around productions. For feature films and series shooting in Austria, FISA+, the national incentive run by aws, and the Vienna Film Commission are the right first contacts; FISA+ offers a 30 per cent grant plus a 5 per cent green bonus, and the Vienna Film Incentive up to 30 per cent.
Our studio is at Vienna Airport, not in Los Angeles. For US campaigns your LA agency knows the market better, and we are happy to work alongside it. Our part is the German-speaking market. We don't give legal or tax advice, and we don't sell number-one guarantees, bought followers or reviews.
Brands launching in German-speaking e-commerce and retail: German product pages, application videos, social content and campaigns. For KCB Professional Austria we shot application videos with four models.
Direct-to-consumer brands that need German shop pages, product videos and campaigns. For Canal Toys, a brand unknown in Germany, the German build-up reached a ROAS of 3× within a year, calculated across all activities. For the menswear label Paolo Sarti we combined a photo shoot, social design and ads into one look.
Studios, publishers and productions that need German-language marketing, trade fair content in the DACH region or behind-the-scenes content from a shoot in Austria. For Exclusive Home we produced a cinema commercial at five locations that ran in more than 20 cinemas in Austria.
Working from Vienna for clients in Los Angeles only works with clear ownership. Here is what we commit to.
German shop pages, videos, campaigns and AI visibility come from one team, so your brand sounds like itself in German.
The senior people from the initial call fly to Los Angeles for shoot days and stay on your project. That slows our growth. We accept it.
Revenue, orders and return on ad spend in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, each traced to the page or campaign behind it. Reach is a means, not a result.
If a US hero product needs a different lead in German-speaking markets, or none at all, we say so before the launch budget is spent.

Because the customers you want in Germany, Austria and Switzerland buy in German, and we write and advertise for them every day. Maze & Friends builds German product pages, campaigns, videos and AI visibility for the DACH region. For Canal Toys, a brand unknown in Germany, the work reached a ROAS of 3× within a year, calculated across all activities.
Most do, at the moment of purchase. In a CSA Research survey of 8,709 consumers in 29 countries, 76 per cent preferred product information in their own language and 40 per cent never bought from sites in other languages. Social content can stay partly English; product pages, ads and customer service should be German.
Yes: behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, photos and social formats in German and English for the marketing team. Production services for the film itself are not what we do. For incentives and locations, FISA+ offers a 30 per cent grant plus a 5 per cent green bonus for international productions, and the Vienna Film Commission advises on shooting in Vienna.
Yes, trade fair coverage is one of our core formats. Before the fair we agree which moments, demos, interviews and meetings matter; afterwards you receive a recap film, reels and photos for your German channels and press. US companies accounted for 4.4 per cent of exhibitors at German trade fairs in 2025, according to AUMA.
It means being recommended when shoppers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews for a product like yours in German. Those answers draw on guides, reviews, retailers and editorial sources, many of them German-language. We measure which brands get named for your category, then build German answer content and credible mentions, with monthly reports.
A contract with Maze Marketing & IT GmbH in Austria, a fixed-price quote with every item and travel listed, and invoices issued in Austria. Currency and the tax treatment between a US and an Austrian company are set out in the quote and checked with your accountant where needed; we don't give tax advice. Usage rights to videos and photos are agreed in writing, including use in ads.
Yes, and it is often the best set-up. Your LA agency owns the brand and the US market; we work within your guidelines and take the German-speaking market, from German copy and campaigns to product videos, trade fair content and AI visibility. Interfaces, file formats and approval rounds are agreed at the start.
Still have questions?
In the initial call, we answer whatever is still open and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for your project.
In a free 30-minute call we look at where your brand is missing in the German-speaking market today and which step will have the most effect first. Afterwards you receive a fixed-price quote. Consulting that also delivers.
