Maze & Friends supports the Vienna Region, the joint business location agency of Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland, with social media strategy, content and campaigns. In four years, this added up to 5.5 million in reach, and the channels deliver leads and enquiries.
The Vienna Region is the joint business location agency of Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland, and it wanted to become the international point of contact for companies starting out in Europe. Maze & Friends developed a social media strategy, built the website for search engines, produced blog posts and company portraits in video form, and geared campaigns towards enquiries. The channels delivered leads and more enquiries. In 2023, Maze & Friends won an EU tender for the Vienna Region.
A strong location, too quiet internationally.
The Vienna Region stands for the joint business location of Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. The region has a lot to offer companies, but digitally it had been taking things rather slowly. Internationally, it was an insider tip: valued by a few, overlooked by many. For a location competing for international companies, that was not enough.
The goal was clear: move from insider tip to an option that international companies seriously consider. The Vienna Region was to become the point of contact for companies that want to gain a foothold in Europe. That called for a strategy combining social media, search engines and performance marketing, geared towards enquiries rather than reach alone.
