A brand guide that leaves nothing to chance.
Maze & Friends built the brand identity for Scharfe Kralle: brand analysis, visual identity and a brand guide, in other words a rulebook for the corporate design. Since then, the company has presented itself consistently on social media and other channels.
Scharfe Kralle wanted to build a strong brand identity and show potential customers clearly what the company stands for. In a brand analysis, Maze & Friends worked out the core values, main services and customer benefits, and developed a visual identity together with the client. A brand guide, a rulebook for the corporate design, sets it down. The result: a consistent presence on social media and other channels, more attention and new customers.
No clear picture, no clear message.
Scharfe Kralle faced a task many companies know: creating a strong brand identity and getting its messages across clearly to potential customers. Without a consistent look, every channel feels a little different, and the core message gets lost along the way. Anyone who sees the brand on social media should recognise it instantly everywhere else.
What was needed was a consistent look that does two things at once. It should make the company’s core values visible and present its services clearly, in images and in words. And it should be set down in a way that all future communication can build on, on social networks as well as on other channels.

“What does this brand stand for, and what’s in it for me?”
The question a consistent presence has to answer before customers ask it.
How the project ran.
Every Maze & Friends project runs through the same nine steps, from the initial call to reporting. The list shows what actually happened in this project.
01Initial callStarting point, goals and target audience clarified together with the client.
02Brand analysisCore values, main services and customer benefits of Scharfe Kralle worked out in detail.
03Visual identityA look developed together with the client that reflects exactly these values.
04Brand guideClear rules for the corporate design, as the basis for all further communication.
05Rollout across the channelsA consistent presence on social networks and other marketing channels.

It did not start with a colour or a logo. It started with an analysis. Maze & Friends worked out what Scharfe Kralle stands for, what the company delivers and what customers gain from it. Only on that basis did the visual identity take shape, together with the client, set down in a brand guide.

Brand analysis as the foundation
Core values, main services and customer benefits were worked out in detail. They define what the brand has to say before design comes into play.

Visual identity
Together with the client, we developed a look that makes the values of Scharfe Kralle visible and communicates its services clearly.

A brand guide for everyday use
The guide sets clear rules for the corporate design. That keeps communication consistent, on social networks and on other marketing channels.
Three things that last.

Analysis before design
A logo without clear values is decoration. Only the brand analysis gives the design a direction.

Rules create freedom
A brand guide saves time with every new post and still keeps the presence consistent.

Developed together
An identity that is created with the client is also lived by the client.
